Narrow Way Chronicles: Exclusivity of Inclusion

In a recent tweet I shared:

#Pride, #Presumption, and #Partiality create a culture of self-righteousness and hidden agendas. #churchpolitics”.

I thought it appropriate to elaborate because intent can be misconstrued and I wanted to allow for robust discussion.

Today, the term “inclusivity” does not prompt ideas of church unity. Opponents of the Way continue to do a “bang-up” job in hijacking and perverting the Creator’s intent on certain ideologies that is designed to reflect His glory. The ideology of “Inclusivity” is no different. History teaches that diversity and inclusivity have existed since the beginning of time. The Old and New Testament scriptures clearly show examples of communities that included all races and social-economic backgrounds.  It is only after the coming of the Anointed One, Jesus the Christ, do we see intentionality of this idea of Inclusive Communities. ….so let’s not get it twisted. ;-).

The intention of the tweet; however, was addressing my limited time and experience with the subject with regard to church unity. My sincere hope and prayer is that the Holy Spirit will be active in guiding my hand to write; as well as an active guide to those who are reading these thoughts.

It is written, He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches:

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Compassion and True Fellowship

The issue: Are our churches TRULY inclusive? With our drive to expose evil, false doctrine and plant churches, have we created a culture of elite communities? Is the mission still about the Gospel or has the mission become about growing a denomination, positioning for political leverage or making your brand known? Do we reflect true Koinonia or is the local church another social construct that is intended have a “positive” effect on the community? If true Koinonia is the intent, what should it look like and how much of our application is modeled biblically?

I have often been engaged in conversations with persons that boastfully share that they are socially connected with”like-minded” Believers. Notice I didn’t say, fellowship; and, that gave me pause to think (Hence the #ChurchPolitics).

What does the idea of being like-minded mean?

Secular society uses this phrase often. Should I assume that this idea takes on a different connotation because I perceive a spin of conservative Christianity or It is safe to assume that being like-minded is a belief or series of beliefs that is shared commonly through a connection of cultural norms to one may be accustomed; and if not accustomed, Idolize?  We’ve seen this in Charismatic circles.

It is elitism; BKA partiality.

If you initiate a Google search the topic, you will find little teaching or exhortation that addresses this, especially in conservative circles. Largely because most of our siblings still have that big plank in their eye.

Partiality is a sin and it greatly displeases Elohim our God. Because it is hidden, it is easy to deny that we have issues. When we choose to “do life” with people that do not foster sanctification, we stifle growth. Not only of ourselves but others that desire true sanctification.  Jerry Bridges exhorts: “It is not the fact that we are united in common goals or purposes that make(s) us a community. Rather, it is the fact that we share a common life in Christ.

Partiality convinces us that God’s choice isn’t good enough, smart enough, pretty or handsome enough, not quiet enough, or charismatic enough. Partiality says this person is not acceptable to my standards. Partiality shows no grace and therefore, shows no love. This is wickedness.

When we opt in for partiality instead of inclusivity we become complacent in our relationships. We are not intentional with the put offs and put-ons, and we do no “one anothering”.  The result is isolation among the saints. This is a dichotomy of true fellowship. Koinonia and sharing the Gospel is what the Father wants and desires for His children. Lastly, partiality is hidden and presumptuous sins. Partiality is heinous and damaging to the Body of Christ.  In Psalm 19:13 the writer prays:

Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me! Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.

The church is not as inclusive as we like to think we are. Partiality is a real issue, more than we would like to admit. People choose not to bind themselves to a local body because they do not feel loved or safe.  At any rate, Jesus teaches compassion. Though the Savior operated as a prophet, he was remarkably compassionate to sinners. Do we desire or display that same compassion or do we make assumptions about people based on limited information or gossip? Moreover, what are we willing to risk or sacrifice to engage in true Koinonia? If your local body struggles in this area please check out this teaching by Arturo Azurdia of TCP titled “The Antioch Paradigm”.

The Hustle of the American(or western) Church: Part 3, The “Business” at Hand

And now…for the The following link from http://www.ecclesia.org was sent to me and I found it extremely helpful.

I’ve always wondered why churches operated as businesses. 503c status in churches seemed kind of off in my opinion because it didn’t seem practical and much of the standards contradicted or compromised the Believer’s ability to honor Elohim.

It is written: Study to show thyself approved, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Initially when I read and studied this, I didn’t fully understand, but as I continue to strive for obedience in Christ I’m finding that there are so many layers to this onion called life.

I exhort the Body of Christ to continue to seek the truth only in God’s word. click here to read the article….good stuff! http://www.ecclesia.org/truth/501-church.html

Children of a Lesser god: the Idol of Technology

It’s the new Babylon. Technology, Technology, Technology…and its place in civilization.

I recently read a post by a “gen Xer” sharing his views on Machine Learning (Machine learning is a subfield of computer science that evolved from the study of pattern recognition and computational learning theory in artificial intelligence).

The author, self-professed authority of Biblical narrative,  usues the historical narrative about of the Tower of Babel from the OT. He uses this event as a means to argue the fact that technology exists primarily as a tool to drive behaviors of humans. In that, companies will have and will continue to use technology to control and observe behaviors. He gives some good examples on how they can gain from this information. Ironically, he also brings light of Elohim’s sovereignty.

It is no secret that there is a feeling of uneasiness in this current age. This is one reason.

Technology has given us a since of control, yet there is empiricle data that we are loosing control when it comes to what our children are exposed to, how our personal information is being used through data-mining, and what is consumed through our eyes and ears. Perversion is commonplace and if we are willing to admit it, American Christians would rather go about their days in ignorance, indifference, or avoidance rather than discuss the fact that this is a problem within the Church.

I’m baffled by the fact that people, not just “Christians”,  say they welcome growth but are always trying to avoid being uncomfortable. It would be much easier to fill our conversations with small talk and engage in avoidance rather than apply the word:  Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The so-called Christian of our modern age is oblivious to the idolatry of technology.

To admit that technology, sports, and other pastimes are idols would be to admit that many of us are idolaters; and who wants to confess that?!  Moreover, if we talk about it, truth is revealed, when truth comes, then we have to choose between the Creator and the created thing. SELAH  (see the results in Rom 1:22-25)

Tech professionals are taught that the mission of Technology is to INTEGRATE.  This means technology’s use should be the primary driver of the business and daily works in society.  In laymen’s terms: Our lives should solely be dependent on technology…even how we study the Word of God. …just a thought.

Don’t get me wrong I embrace the use of technology. I find it very useful and I believe that society can greatly benefit from all innovation; however, how is it effecting you spiritually?

Is Technology making your sleepy and dumb…bitter or joyful?..Are your bearing fruit? Are you salt and light? Wait!…before you get prideful in your response, you must understand a few things: Posting “inspirational quotes”, engaging in online theological debates on social media may not account for bearing fruit, one may also want to ask: Do my actions glorify God or do they glorify me? For it is written:

Walk as children of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. (Eph. 5:8b-16).

…and indeed they are…

The wisdom of functioning in a society that is alien to the things of the Holy is the quandary, yet the solution is so simple. We must make the  sacrifice and we must choose to die daily. When we are honest and truthful about our inclinations and desires, this will bring to light the struggle and therefore bring an opportunity for spiritual growth. Do you desire this growth?  Practical application is given in the Word (Matt 6:33, Matt 5:29, 1 Cor. 13, ..and so on) so there is no excuse for ignorance. However, we choose ignorance when we refuse to yield to Godly wisdom, robbing us of spiritual fruit.

Technology and it’s purpose is a simple tool. It’s not needed to worship Elohim, for that’s is why we were created. My sincere exhortation for the Body of Christ is to repent, consecrate yourselves, and live Holy (separate) as God has called us. This doesn’t necessarily mean that we should become Amish, nor do I suggest legalism, however please be mindful of your spirit and prefer that which is more important to the Lord Our God in Christ!

Be well!

“CHURCH” AND “ECCLESIA”…Lost in Translation

The following is an excerpt from http://www.aggressivechristianity.net

Let us make it clear from the very beginning that the established religious system, which manifests itself in the abomination called “church”, is NOT of God. We intend to make it very clear, by studying the Greek words found in the New Testament, that the pattern which God intends His people to follow and live by is the ECCLESIA system, and is RADICALLY different than that which calls itself “church” in our day. As you read this short study the truth will dawn on you that Christians today have been fed a LIE, and that they have been enslaved by the religious systems of men. If you truly love Jesus and desire to follow Him in total obedience then you must seriously consider the facts that follow. We encourage each and every person who names the name of Christ to PRAY, FAST AND SEEK GOD concerning the important differences between how the first Christians lived and how Christians live today.

THE CORRECT MEANING OF “CHURCH”

(The following information is from ACMTC Library and BenWilliamsLibrary.com)
Let’s start by defining the word. “Church” comes from the Old English and German word pronounced “kirche.” In Scotland, it was “kirk.”

The following entries are from the Oxford Universal English Dictionary:

Church [Old English cirice, circe; Middle English chereche, chiriche, chirche; whence churche, cherche, etc.: -Greek Kuriakon…]

Kirk The Northern English and Scottish form of CHURCH, in all its senses.

In the earlier Greek It was pronounced “ku-ri-a-kos” or “ku-ri-a-kon.” As you can see, this word doesn’t even resemble the Greek word “ecclesia” whose place it has usurped. The meaning of “Ku-ri-a-kos” is understood by its root: “Ku- ri-os,” which means “lord.” Thus, “kuriakos” (i.e., “church”) means “pertaining to the lord.” It refers to something that pertains to, or belongs to, a lord. The Greek “kuriakos” eventually came to be used in Old English form as “cirice” (Kee-ree-ke), then “churche” (kerke), and eventually “church” in its traditional pronunciation. A church, then, is correctly something that “pertains to, or belongs to, a lord.”

Now, as you can see, there is a major problem here. The translators broke the rules in a big way. When they inserted the word “church” in the English versions, they were not translating the Greek word “kuriakos”, as one might expect. Rather, they were substituting an entirely different Greek word. This was not honest! The word “church” would have been an acceptable translation for the Greek word “kuriakos.” However, not by the wildest imagination of the most liberal translator can it ever be an acceptable translation for the Greek word “ecclesia.” Are you following this? Consider it carefully. This truth will answer many questions you’ve had about churches, and the kingdom.

“Ecclesia” is an entirely different word with an entirely different meaning than “kuriakos.” In fact, the Greek word “kuriakos” appears in the New Testament only twice. It is found once in I Corinthians 11:20 where it refers to “the Lord’s supper,” and once again in Revelation 1:10 where it refers to “the Lord’s day.” In both of those cases, it is translated “the Lord’s…” – not “church.” This word does not appear again in the New Testament. Nonetheless, this is the unlikely and strange history of the word “church” as it came to the English language. Eventually, through the manipulation of organized religion “church” came to replace “ecclesia” by popular acceptance. Again, we must emphasize the importance of knowing word meanings in order to know the intent of those who wrote the Scriptures.

THE CORRECT MEANING OF “ECCLESIA”

Now, let’s look at the word, “ecclesia”. This Greek word appears in the New Testament approximately 115 times. That’s just in this one grammatical form. It appears also in other forms. And in every instance, except three, it is wrongly translated as “church” in the King James Version. Those three exceptions are found in Acts 19:32, 39, 41. In these instances the translators rendered it “assembly” instead of “church.” But, the Greek word is exactly the same as the other 112 entries where it was changed to “church” wrongly.

In Acts 19, “ecclesia” is a town council: a civil body in Ephesus. Thus, the translators were forced to abandon their fake translation in these three instances. Nonetheless, 112 times they changed it to “church.” This fact has been covered-up under centuries of misuse and ignorance. The Greek word “ecclesia” is correctly defined as: “The called-out (ones)” [ECC = out; KALEO = call]. Thus, you can see how this word was used to indicate a civil body of select (called, elected) people.

According to the Encyclopedia Britannica:

In the New Testament, “ecclesia” (signifying convocation) is the only single word used for church. It (ecclesia) was the name given to the governmental assembly of the city of Athens, duly convoked (called out) by proper officers and possessing all political power including even juridical functions.

Obviously, in Greece an ecclesia had no resemblance to a church. An “ecclesia” was a civil assembly in Athens even before the writing of the New Testament. In the Oxford Universal English Dictionary (considered the standard for the English language) the word “ecclesia” is listed in its English form as used by our English forefathers. (Nowadays, only forms of the word appear – like, “ecclesiastical”).

Quoting from the Oxford Universal English Dictionary on the word “ecclesia”:

Ecclesia [mediaeval Latin, and Greek – from : SUMMONED] -A regularly convoked assembly, especially the general assembly of Athenians. Later, the regular word for church.

Thus, two of the most prestigious word resources in the English language confirm the fact that an “ecclesia” was originally a select civil body, summoned or convoked for a particular purpose. What, then, did the writers of the New Testament mean when they used the word “ecclesia” to describe a Christian body of people? We can assume that they intended to convey the original Greek meaning of the word: a body of Christians called out of the Roman and Judean system to come together into a separate civil community. It meant a politically autonomous body of Christians under no king but Jesus; under no other jurisdiction but that of Jesus. No man ruled them! Only Christ. And that was the reason these same Christians ran into trouble with kings and rulers; were arrested, crucified and martyred. They dropped Caesar as their King and took up Christ.

In Acts 17, verses 1-6 we see that Paul and Silas had a reputation that preceded them. They were “turning the world (system) upside down.” What was their inflaming message? Were they telling the people to find a minister and support him; go to church every weekend; be nice to their neighbors? Could this have been the message that set the city fathers against them? Or maybe they were asking people to send their tithes to them so they could build a nice church or develop a Christian recreation center? No? What then? What were these guys doing that was “turning the world system upside down”? The answer is found in verse 7:

“Whom Jason hath received (into his house): and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.”

Now is that clear? Do you see what they were doing? They were announcing ANOTHER KING! Not Caesar! This was a king who was bigger than Caesar. They were forming civil bodies that no longer looked to Caesar as their king. They were forming civil outposts for Christ’s conquering army! They were at war!

Paul and Silas weren’t “church builders” like preachers today claim. They weren’t proselytizing people from one church or synagogue to another. They were kingdom builders! They were dethroning rulers in the minds of the people and alienating them from the mental hold Caesar had upon them through heathenistic (central) government. They were teaching the principles of Christian government. They were putting forth the call of God to whomever would hear and obey, and those whose hearts responded to the call became citizens of Christ’s kingdom and joined themselves to the ecclesia, or community of believers.

CHURCH AND STATE DESTROY LIBERTY

The Oxford Dictionary also has an interesting entry under “congregation”:

…used by Tyndale* as a translation of ‘ecclesia’ in the New Testament, and by the sixteenth century reformers instead of “church.” (*William Tyndale was the fifteenth century reformer and Bible translator murdered by the church)

Tyndale was willing to die for God’s word and truth. He didn’t like the word “church.” Instead, he used the word “congregation.” Now that tells us something! Godly Tyndale, and other sixteenth-century reformers who were more reputable, did not like the word “church.” They used other words like “congregation,” “governmental assembly,” etc.

When you consider the fact that an “ecclesia” was “a civil body politic”, this is strong proof that the Christian ecclesias we read about in the New Testament were independent civil bodies of Christians -independent from worldly kings and governors, ruled by the Theocratic government of God’s Spirit. They wanted freedom to serve King Jesus. They weren’t building and attending churches! Please understand! The pattern laid down in the New Testament bears no resemblence to what we know today as “church”. God’s people are meant to live by the ecclesia pattern -together in communities, holding all things common, under the government of God through His anointed leaders. Quit saying “church” when it is supposed to be “ecclesia”! It’s an important step in retrieving your brain from the trap of religious confusion.

CHRISTIAN CIVIL BODY

Independent self-government under Christ! That is what the ecclesia represents – not a religious organization for meeting on weekends. The Bible does not indicate that churches would eventually take the place of ecclesias. The change of words was not sanctioned by Scripture. There is NO Scriptural authority for Christians to build churches, attend churches, or support churches! Churches are ungodly organizations designed for and by the heathen.

We should be forming and defending ecclesias instead of the disgusting churches with their con games, entertainment, cultic mystery, childishness, and heathenistic worldly nonsense. We once used the word “church” to describe ourselves, but no more thank God. We’re doing our best to break that image. It’s a slow process, but we’re putting the old church ways behind us.

THE IDOLATRY MUST STOP

If you profess to follow Christ, then it’s time you quit voluntarily feeding the anti-Christ beast. Men who want to sincerely follow Christ must wean themselves from worldly governments and churches. It is the height of absurdity for a Christian to attend and support the very institutions which are destroying his relationship with God. Those who voluntarily support man-made religious church systems, by believing and teaching that they are good in any way, or that they help us, or that we need them, are still living in a dream world of deception. The ecclesia system, with it’s Theocratic government and individual responsibility, is capable of freeing us from the bodage of religion. True peace and liberty cannot be found outside of Christ. Christ’s system is the ecclesia system. Freedom awaits all those who will break away from the religious slavery of church and become a humble bondslave of Jesus Christ. We must stop idolizing men in their religious hypocrisy and let Christ once and for all be our King!

So, there is really no other choice for those who would truly follow the pattern laid down for us in God’s Word. We must do the same thing the apostles did. We must form ourselves into actual communities under the guidance of God’s anointed and appointed leaders, called out and separated from the world, with none other than Jesus Christ as our ruler and King. In other words, ECCLESIAS!

Hidden In Plain Sight: Evil infiltrates the “House”…and the Shepherd is oblivious…or not?

There is a trend that formerly Bible-teaching churches has been growing in this heresy out of sight, I’m posting this to warn others. Click the below podcast for a VERY informative conversation about this increasing trend. He who has an ear let the him hear what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.

Has Our Post-Modern Culture Created Cults?

Signs that your Church is or is using these methods: (this is not an exhaustive or inclusive list)

(source: http://rr-bb.com/)

The following is taken from Dan Southerland’s book: Transitioning and page references are given where appropriate. This is what they’re pushing:

Change your Approach – from “Program Driven” (read: traditional), to “Purpose Driven”

Change your Target – from reaching saved fellow Christians to reaching the “un-churched”. (this is an oxymoron, since church is by definition for the saved. Is “jail” for the “un-jailed”?)

Change your Leadership – Move away from an Elder/Deacon/Board leadership (read: Biblical) model, and have the staff make all the decisions. (IOW, let the people whose paychecks depend on the choices made decide everything. No matter that this may open them up to spiritual attack and make them vulnerable to unethical, even un-Biblical decisions!)

Change your Pastors – From a senior pastor model to multiple pastors. (not wrong in and of itself, but they’re using this to make up a new “board” of directors)

Change your Ministry – From staff doing all the ministry to lay ministers doing the ministry. (again, it’s not bad in and of itself to use lay-pastors, but they use it to increase indoctrination and “group-think”)

Change your Strategy – From no plan to a “Life-cycle process” that is “driven by small groups”

Change your Schedule – Have your services targeted to the “un-churched”, and if you must reach the already saved, do it in a separate service. (Why confuse those poor pagans with true gospel and Biblical teaching?)

Change your Small Groups – from traditional educational groups to “relational” small groups. (This is also used to increase peer pressure to accept wrong teaching, and as a format to “seed” in strategically placed proponents to apply pressure to members to conform.)

Put together a “Vision Team”: A “small handfull of leaders”. Choose mature believers, Dreamers rather than detail people, who are “trustworthy to keep their mouths shut” about your plans until “the time is right for it to be shared”. (pg 77) Work quietly and secretly behind the scenes. (this to me screams that they know people won’t want the changes, but they don’t care – they’re deluded into thinking they know best) It’s preferred that members of the Vision Team are staff, but others can be used if they fit the profile.

Prepare for Vision: 1) Collect information. Do surveys of your membership, your neighborhood “un-churched”, and your community. (My church did the REVEAL Survey bought from Willow Creek) 2) Have a “holy discontent” with the status quo 3) Fast 4) Pray 5) Wait

Be Willing To Let People Leave the Church (aka “Bus theology”): Southerland teaches that the traditional members who are pillars of the church can just hold you back from the changes, and fight your methods. He and Warren are proud of the numbers they’ve chased off. “When you set the vision and stay the course, you determine who leaves” (pg 127) (They don’t care that their new “church” is a mile wide and an inch deep. It’s only the numbers and the money that count in the long run, no matter how much they try to trumpet their desire to “reach the un-churched”.)

Require all members to sign “Covenants” (This is in direct opposition to James 5)The Membership Covenant, the Ministry Covenant, The Maturity Covenant and the Missions Covenant.  Mission oath/or objective is required. Everyone is either to find a volunteer job at the church, or is seen as selfish.

Friends, we must remember to:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1). When your gut tells you something…search, pray, and be obedient. For more study check out:

WANTED: Manly Males to Rebuild the Walls

Image

If you haven’t noticed, the marketing and advertising industry is increasingly intentional about their MESSages in their campaigns. Below are just a few:

That women are the better sex and should be the leaders of everything, should always be looked at as the victim, or the opposite…foolishness.

That manhood exemplifies one or more of the following attributes: violent, superficial, uncaring, effeminate and/or homosexual, buffoons, weak, or incapable of doing anything without a women “stepping in” and handling it. Moreover when men are the target audience, it’s almost always packaged seductively or in a way that fosters performance driven motives, which causes debt.

That children and adolescents can operate as adults. This MESSage has created a generation of kids and teens that believe they can make MAJOR decisions without the wisdom of their parents (such as dating, money, sex). The MESSage is that “friends”, peers, or some other adult are the best people to go to when they are in trouble. In a word…..kids don’t need parents….get them out of the picture.

I’m simply stating the obvious. It is a fact that there is definitely a diabolical plan to change our perception in respect to human creation roles and how we view the importance of family and community. The Advertising industry’s goals are generally geared to shape and direct our thinking and what will be perceived in the future. It’s always about the “future of” something…but I digress.

So is it me or is there a growing message that is focused on degrading the manly man’s role in our society. Jokes, satire, movies, and commercials that are filled with messages of weak men are commonplace. Even on the street one can see a man in a “domestic” setting (always with a baby on his hip or in a stroller). He needs to be at work!  There is a laying of groundwork being done to “ease” men out of major positions of leadership in our society. Headship of the family is a very integral part of this plan. Friends, we are well on our way to a major collapse in civilization.

This is a clarion call to the Manly men… is time mount up get on the wall and repair it!

In Nehemiah it reads:

And I said, “O LORD God of heaven, the great and awesome God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open, to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night for the people of Israel your servants, confessing the sins of the people of Israel, which we have sinned against you. Even I and my father’s house have sinned. We have acted very corruptly against you and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the rules that you commanded your servant Moses. Remember the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples, but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.’ (Nehemiah 1:5-9 ESV)

Not only is husbands and fathers important in understanding what he has been created to do, sons, brothers, and unmarried uncles, play a major part in this puzzle as well; for a three chord strand is not easily broken. Men are born to lead. They were created to make the tough decisions, take the hits for the familySince the fall of Adam do we know the consequences and importance of order. A wise friend said to me “Because of Eve, we have suffered eternal consequences of evil, through Sara nations are divided”. Both examples give a clear picture of what happens when the authority is shifted from manly men to women.

The foolishness of sitcoms, movies, and other forms entertainment is intent on the reverberation of damaging messages about the creation roles of men. Men, Be strong and courageous! Clean up your homes. Remove the spirit of “Jezzi” from your homes. Repent and turn away from selfishness, greed, and the need to be “better than the next man”..forgive..stay resilient,  be reliable, and extend respect. Don’t let the foolishness of this world define what your true attributes are in the sight of God. You are NOT a buffoon, or a gigolo/playa (in a word…a male whore). You are not shallow, violent, homosexual, or effeminate. You can be a great father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. It is okay not to wear pink or pierce your ear(s), or hold the door open. It’s okay to tell your daughter that she cannot dress like a prostitute. It’s okay to love your wife tenderly and strong. It’s good train up your boys to protect women.  It is not weak to say “my mistake”, “Please forgive me”, “I repent” or “let’s pray”. You were made in the image of the Almighty Elohim with attributes like: Protector, Faithful and True, Provider, …I can go on! Society would have you think that you are a punk if you resist the urge to “Do what thy wilt”. This lie is the reason why fatherlessness AND faithlessness is prevalent in OUR culture. That is the same lie that has convinced two generations women that they don’t need a man….Selah. For it is written “What has been is what will be, and what been done is what will be dome, for there is nothing new under the sun”

Recently I exhorted a brother to understand that there is a divine and intentional assignment for all men. Godly Male headship is crucial to a thriving civilization. I continued to explain that not only is this power of God’s sovereignty evident in a thriving society, it extends to our current perverse generation. Men..you have the power to repair the walls! Repent and start praying. You will be amazed and blessed at the results.

He who has an ear….let him hear

In the Beginning…

God created the world and everything in it (Genesis 1:1).  Because God made us, He has the authority to rule over us (Psalm 115:3, Proverbs 16:33).  Out of all of God’s creation, man was special because he was created in the image of God and was given dominion over the Earth and everything in it (Genesis 1:26 – 27).  Man was created perfect and enjoyed unbroken fellowship with God until he made the decision to disobey God’s command for him to not eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Genesis 2:15-17, 3:6).  God’s perfect nature would not allow Him to let man’s transgression of His command go unpunished.  God cursed Man for his sin and cast him out of the Garden of Eden.

Sin is any transgression of the law of God (1 John 3:4, Romans 3:20, James 2:9-11).  Because God is our creator, we have an obligation to obey His laws perfectly.  Ever since the Garden of Eden, man has had a problem:  sin.  The problem is that God is both infinitely loving AND infinitely just.  Therefore, sin must be punished because God requires justice.

God’s Law…

In the fullness of time, God showed us more of the holiness of His nature by revealing His perfect moral standard to Moses.  We call them The Ten Commandments. (Exodus 20:3-17)

  1.  You shall have no other gods before me.
    • Have you ever put anything or anyone above God?
  2. You shall not make for yourself a carved image.
    • Have you worshipped another god or object?
  3. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
    • Have you ever used the name of God thoughtlessly?
  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
    • Have you ever failed to give Him one day out of seven as His own special day set aside for worship?
  5. Honor your father and your mother.
    • Have you ever failed to give proper honor to your parents?
  6. You shall not murder.
    • Have you ever murdered or hated someone?
  7. You shall not commit adultery.
    • Have you ever committed adultery either physically or through your eyes? (this includes fornication, Matthew 5:27-28)
  8. You shall not steal.
    • Have you ever stolen? (regardless of value)
  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
    • Have you ever lied? (white lies count too)
  10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.
    • Have you ever been jealous of someone else’s possessions or ungrateful for what you don’t have?

“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it” –James 2:10

If we are honest, we have to admit two things:

  1. God’s laws are good and perfect (Romans 7:12).
  2. We have not kept these laws perfectly (Romans 3:23).

Question… We all will be judged by this Holy standard.  Will you be innocent or guilty? (Hebrews 9:27)

Honest people will 100% of the time will admit their guilt.

The Bad News…

The bad news is that God is Holy and Just and has promised that justice will be executed on all lawbreakers.

– “They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,” (2 Thessalonians 1:9)

– “But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.” (2 Peter 3:7)

– “And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.  The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.  But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murders, the sexually immoral, sorcers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:6-8)

The Good News…

God so loved us that He poured out His hatred of sin on His own Son! (John 3:16, Romans 1:18, 8:32)

“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (1 John 4:10)

Jesus Christ, the Son of God and God the Son, came to this earth through the virgin Mary, revealed the truths of God, lived the perfect life in our place, died on the cross to pay the penalty of sin that we might be restored to a relationship with God, rose again on the third day, and gives eternal life to those He has called who believe in Him by His grace and through faith. (Mark 9:43-48; Isaiah 53:4-12; 1 John 4:10, 1 Peter 3:18, Matthew 27:46)

What must we do to be saved…?

There is nothing you can do to earn forgiveness (Isaiah 64:6)

There is only one way to be saved (Acts 4:12).

– Repent (Have a change of mind about your sin and turn to God.  Remember you have broken God’s Laws) (Matthew 4:17, Acts 2:38, Acts 17:30-31, 2 Corinthians 7:10)

– Believe the gospel. (Put your trust in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus for the remission (forgiveness) of sin) (John 6:40, John 6:44, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8)

What should you do now?

  1. Read your bible every day to learn more about the loving God who saved you.  Be determined to obey what you read.
  2. Connect with a Bible-teaching church as soon as possible.  Your foremost concern in selecting a church is how the Bible is taught and lived out.
  3. Begin telling others about the Savior who saved you!

Aborted babies are being incinerated to provide electricity in the United States

The Matt Walsh Blog

After reports a few weeks ago that aborted babies are burned to heat hospitals in the UK, today we get this:

The remains of aborted humans are being shipped to a US power facility, in order to provide electricity to Oregon residents.

The British Colombia Health Ministry has confirmed that ‘medical waste’ is sent to our country to be converted to electricity in waste-to-power plants. ‘Medical waste,’ in this brave new world of ours, includes amputated limbs, cancerous tissue, and the bodies of murdered children.

I don’t have any long tirade for you. I just need you to understand what’s happening here in your one nation under God. We are incinerating slaughtered babies so that we can charge our iPhones and power our televisions.

If we displace a few caribou to build a pipeline, or disadvantage a couple of dolphins to drill for oil, the public outrage cannot be contained. The cries of injustice…
